Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation
On September 25, 2016, we sponsored our team called “Architesta” to raise money & support the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation and remember the tragic day of September 11, 2001. Our team consisted of over 30 people and raised almost $5,000. We provided a bus for our team that gathered at the Woodbridge, NJ train station at 7:00 am dropped us off at the starting point in Red Hook Brooklyn, NY. We met firefighters and other people from around our country that came to support the Foundation and to participate in this inspiring event. As we ran/walked through the tunnel, various branches of the military ran by in cadence waving the American flag while everyone applauded. As you came out of the tunnel, there were active NYC Police & Firefighters lined up along the roadway holding banners of all of New York’s Bravest & Finest who lost their lives on 9/11. It was overwhelming to see how many of these first responders lost their lives that day along with all of the innocent people. After completing this event we all gathered for lunch sharing our emotions and pride for taking part in this great event and to be American. This left such a lasting effect on us that we are looking forward to participating again next year.
